Consultant for Ecumenical Development, Southern Asia Region, Files 1974-1980.

This series comprises records related to the position of Ecumenical Consultant employed in Southern Asia by the Lutheran Church in America's (LCA) Division for World Mission and Ecumenism. These materials were generated or received by the Secretary for Southern Asia and the Middle East and are from 1974-1980. A majority of the records are handwritten and typewritten business correspondence, but there are also project funding applications, and progress reports. The material pertains entirely to the work of LCA consultant Samuel Isaac, the first LCA consultant for South Asia. Most of the items in the series are reports he generated and filed; correspondence he authored and sent to either church officials in the LCA, or officials with other ecumenical organizations with which he had contact; and funding applications for projects with which he was involved in their creation and implementation process.
